Yoga For Non Bendy People: Nervous System Friendly Movement For Real Nurse Bodies

Saturday, July 18 at 7am - 8am MT

Before you head into a full day of learning, networking, and being “on,” give your body a place to land.

This is not a yoga class built for bendy people, quiet rooms, or perfect mornings. This is a nurse-friendly practice built for real bodies, real schedules, and real nervous systems.

If you’ve ever thought:

-“Yoga isn’t for me.”

-“I’m too stiff / too sore / too tired.”

-“My brain won’t shut off.”

-“I don’t want to be touched, corrected, or put on display.”

You’re in the right place.

In this 60-minute, trauma-informed practice, you’ll be guided through simple, accessible movement, breath, and grounding strategies you can use during the conference and take home to your daily life.

You’ll experience:

- Upright, practical movement (standing and/or chair options) designed for tight hips, achy backs, tender shoulders, and “I sit too much” bodies

- Breath + downshift tools that support focus, steadier energy, and a calmer internal pace

- Micro-practices for regulation you can use in a hallway, a hotel room, before a talk, or after intense conversation

- Permission to listen to your body without pushing, performing, or proving anything

Format:

A trauma sensitive, nervous system supportive space with gentle, adaptable movement. No yoga experience needed. No yoga clothes required. No mat required. Chairs welcome. You’ll be invited to choose what works for you always.

Who This Is For:
Nurses who feel stiff, stressed, overwhelmed, burned out, wired/tired, suffering with chronic pain, anxious, or simply curious. Also for nurses who “can’t turn it off,” carry tension like armor, or want a way to reset without having to talk about everything.
